Dr. Abhinav Tiwary
Assistant Professor
Dr. Abhinav Tiwary is an economist and educator with interdisciplinary expertise spanning development economics, behavioral science, AIoT, and quantitative modeling. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at IIM Indore, where his research explored the relationship between Institutions and Economic Development, finding what affects creation of capabilities (means) of progress and how Institutions affect it. He also holds a B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from IIT Dhanbad, providing him with a strong technical foundation in data-driven analysis and systems thinking.
He has served as an Assistant Professor in Decision Sciences at Jain University, Bengaluru (2022–2024), and currently teaches at Balaji Institute of International Business, Pune. His teaching portfolio includes Business Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Game Theory, and Decision Science for MBA programs. His industry background includes managerial roles in construction, food tech, and marketing operations, giving him practical perspectives on organizational behavior and strategic decision-making. Dr. Tiwary’s research has Scopus-indexed publications covering IoT, AI, logistics, sustainability, and development studies. He is actively involved in mentoring students, promoting project-centric learning, and working on interdisciplinary problems at the intersection of technology, policy, and human behavior.
